OYA DEFENDS ORULA
Orula had so many enemies, that every day he was forced to ride Balcázar sacrifices to seek the favor of the orishas. But as he did more, more enemies appeared to him. One day, Oya went to see him and told him:
-Get me two baskets and a scythe and what I do will work, I’ll settle with a hen as payment.
With attachments requested, Oya went out and began to cut off the head of anyone who was enemy of Orula.
Seeing that, Orula asked her to halt the killing since he was not in accordance with the method. Oya replied:
-Okay, I will stop; but you have to pay me as promised, because when one has so many enemies there is no other solution, at least that I know of.

Due to his sickness and the epidemics he has conflicted on him, many people outcast him and did not want anything to do with him. They would throw water at him when he would try to approach them, which is an offense to Babalu Aye in now days. He is also seen as a beggar. That’s what he disguises himself as to test and see how the heart of man is. When you fail that test, Babalu Aye usually brings epidemics and sickness to your life. Whether it is directly to you or the closest person or thing to you. He is the epidemics that happen to the world in an instant. The people that are inflicted with these epidemics are said no to be victims, but are now his messengers to show the world that he does exist and to have respect for Olofi and him.

adorned with coral
and your love flow plunges us

Cover us with your mantle
of infinite compassion
and teach us to flow
with ease through life
so in a time without time
back to dwell in your belly.

THE TREASURE OF OBATALA
The Orishas held a meeting and agreed to seek food each one to later share it with the others.
Eleggua who, as always, was the first to go out, found a goat and killed it, but as he thought that the meat would go bad before reaching the others, ate it.
Oggun found slugs and thought that Obatala would like them very much; he thought better and since the slugs were small and he didn’t have many, engulfed them.

Chango found a cock and in the hope of finding another, ate the first along the way.
So everyone ate what they found, excluding Obatala, who had not found anything and was very upset, until looking through some branches found a great treasure.
When they returned to the starting point, Obatala returned with his Treasury. To find them all happy and with the full belly, Obatala told them he would give nothing, because “which does not meet the agreement, cannot claim anything”. The other orishas were offended, but they were the culprits.

The spirits of light, are beings who lived in another age, and which are designated by Olofi, at the time that we are born to be by our side, to guide and protect us.
Once are with us and will develop the gift of the Mediunmidad, we have reach incredible levels of certainty in their statements, forecasts, and advice.
Some important considerations on the dead are: are grouped into spiritual commissions, Gypsy Commission, African Commission, Navy Commission, Commission Commission healer (medical)…Commission China, Hungarian Commission, Catholic Commission, Commission shamanic, Commission India, slaves, Palera Commission Commission…That is, because of their nationality, religious customs or practices, when they were alive.
And although not as created, still practice their knowledge through their Mediums, horses, banks or matter that used to go down to Earth to help.
That is why, there is suddenly a dead than low and specializes in prayers, was nun or priest, or any Medium which has the gift of healing with hands, by virtue of their guides spiritual.
Or perhaps, someone who is dedicated to working with the Astros, and letters by their Gypsy dead.
You have more than one dead? Yes…Each person has more than one spirit back, and if it is a Medium developed, will end almost never know them all.
But everyone has their specialty, therefore some Espiritistas who are very good there are letters, with a disaster doing healings, or that are great to help you get a job, but do not give with what helps you in love…Etc.
But, all absolutely everyone has a mission and all, to the being of light, will deserve equal respect and gratitude…Since there are those who say that such dead does not work, says nothing to serve, but who knows if his mere presence frees of darkness and danger.
Also happens that there are dead who are to care for many people, of there than their Mediums is engaged work publicly, more others should not have that authorization of Olofi, and are only for the person and family.
To my gives Me a great shame, when someone I says…That prefers to do what they tell you my black than what said you your own dead… Errorrrrrrrrr. Ignore their dead, according to the value you, you of their spiritual guides, so it they will develop and you will help Ud, first, and then others.
Please leave the comfortable position of going to that you say to do, develop  spiritual guides and whatever advised…

Choose an elder, teacher, or Godfather is one of the things most important in yoruba religion in the West, since our religion is filled with excesses, many distortions, ignorance, fear, and has become a true harvest is important to consider who will be the holder Godfather of the person.
An elder, teacher, or Godfather is who opens the doors to the yoruba faith, which delivers your first consecrations and guide you on the path of knowledge.

"We must bear in mind that in the Yoruba mentality, ideals as patience, control and reverence are personified in women, the same women who pays tribute."The mothers’, who are United with all women by "blood flow" (menstruation), enclose the concept of balance, a feminine quality that man must understand - emulate, in fact - in order to survive. An old woman, of which her years imply secret knowledge and power, can be called a witch. These elderly women and priestesses, tends to give much love. This is due to that that "special power", they have more access to the Yoruba deities. In an old woman, whose longevity suggests a mystical power and secret knowledge, it is put in the same category as those who have important titles in worship to the gods and the ancestors. Old age implies a spiritual growth from the end of menstruation. Therefore, menopause plays a role in the community that, contrary to Western civilization, is very revered ".

Reflections…!
"Passion makes one stop eating, sleeping, working, living in peace…Many people are scared because, when it appears it collapses everything old there is…Nobody wants to unravel the fabric of their world…For this reason, many people manage to control this threat, and are able to maintain a house or a structure that is already rotten. They are engineers of great things…Other people think exactly the opposite: is delivered without thinking, hoping to find in passion the solutions to all their problems…Download on the other person the responsibility for their happiness, and all their guilt for their possible unhappiness…It is always euphoric because something wonderful happened, or depressed because something unexpected ended up destroying it all…Depart from the passion, or blindly give yourself to it, which of the two attitudes is less destructive? I think that like everything in life, if done with restraint and responsibility, it can be light, the illusion, the happiness that is missing in our day to day…"
